Accelerated Media Named Finalist in Digital Video, Advertising Awards
DENVER – Oct. 21, 2013
The emerging media experts at Accelerated Media are pleased to announce they have been named a finalist in three categories in the Cynopsis Digital Model D awards honoring the best digital video content and advertising.
Accelerated Media is a finalist in three categories: “Connected TV Platform,” “Digital TV Group: Network,” and “Digital Video Ad Platform.” Accelerated Media is competing for the awards against prominent media companies such as CBS Interactive, Discovery, NBC Sports and Sony.
Accelerated Media provides an advanced television ad platform that inserts local and national advertising into the digital apps of broadcasters and cable networks. With its Connected Ad Network (CAN), Accelerated Media provides broadcasters increased ad inventory while creating additional advertising opportunities within the companion apps.
“We’re pleased to be recognized alongside the giants of the industry for creating digital advertising technologies for connected TVs,” said Accelerated Media President and CTO Doug McGary. “Broadcasters are increasingly embracing advanced TV advertising, particularly due to the more than 30 million connected TV homes. Accelerated Media is on the cutting edge of creating specially designed advertising solutions that drive impressions across multiple devices and generate revenue for broadcasters.”
Accelerated Media builds ad-enabled apps for the universe of “Connected TVs,” which encompasses both smart TV’s (those connected directly to the internet) and over-the-top (OTT) devices like connected Blu-Ray players, Google TV boxes and the Roku platform.
For instance, Accelerated Media’s CAN provides advertisers the option to host video-on-demand or photo galleries, request for information, coupons or samples, map of retail locations, social media integration and even transactional capabilities to “buy now” on any connected TV.
Accelerated Media specializes in building apps for broadcasters seeking to monetize their apps for local news, weather and traffic. By creating advertising within the apps, Accelerated Media gives local broadcasters control over the advertising and the ability to generate app revenue. Accelerated Media builds the apps to operate across multiple devices, including connected TVs, tablets and mobile phones, giving broadcasters the potential to reach millions of viewers.
“We’re an aggregator and thus we are platform agnostic,” said Lesa Bannon, CEO of Accelerated Media. “If you want ads placed across different platforms or devices, we provide a one-stop shop for reaching the largest audience via platforms like Samsung Smart TV, Google TV, and the Yahoo! connected TV platform, all for a single fee and at a fraction of the cost of conventional app development.”
Winners of the Cynopsis Digital awards will be announced Nov. 12 in New York City.
